Frontier Signal
★★★★★ 4.5
Frontier Signal drops you on an empty patch of land with a handful of settlers and a lot of problems. You build, manage food and morale, and plan ahead for winters that will absolutely wreck an unprepared town. It's a thinking game, and it respects your intelligence.
The pacing is deliberate. You can pause and queue up orders, which makes it work well in short sessions on a phone. I appreciated that the game never nags you to come back; everything happens while you're playing, not on a timer that punishes you for closing the app.
It gets genuinely tense when a storm hits and you're short on firewood. The UI is a touch cramped on small screens, but the depth underneath is excellent. A great offline strategy fix.
