How we actually test a game before reviewing it
People sometimes assume reviews come from a quick play and a trailer. Ours don't. Before anything goes up, at least one of us plays the game for several evenings on a real phone.
We test on more than one device on purpose. A game can feel smooth on a new flagship and stutter badly on a three-year-old budget phone. Since most people aren't carrying the latest hardware, that older phone often decides the final score.
Battery and storage get checked too. A game that cooks your phone in twenty minutes or demands two gigabytes for a simple puzzler loses points, even if the gameplay is fine.
The most important step is the offline check. We turn on airplane mode and see what still works. If menus freeze, levels won't load, or saves refuse to write, that's an immediate problem for a site like ours.
Only after all that do we write. The goal is a review you could hand to a friend as honest advice, not a polished sales pitch.
